Step into The Garage.

The studio opened in October of 2025, in a little garage tucked away in the mount baker neighborhood of south Seattle. It started with just one wheel that I got for free from a regular at a bar I was working at, and a tiny manual kiln from Facebook marketplace. Fast forward a year, and this little studio has grown to a total of 5 wheels, a full size kiln, and 30 members. It’s been quite a journey, and would not be possible without the endless support from the surrounding communities, and the amazing members + students frequenting the studio daily. If you’re interested in pottery and have never taken a class, I suggest you take a 2-hour intro class or a 4-week class before diving in to a full 6 week session. Pottery is VERY physically involved, it requires strength and the ability to sit on a stool hunched over for an hour or two.

My goals for this space are simple: small classes, real community, and plenty of time at the wheel. Students will learn the roots of ceramics, and a lot of patience.

If you already have some experience and are looking to expand your skills, the 8-week beginner pottery course is probably for you. Just testing the waters? Our 2-hour intro sessions or 4-week beginner wheel class are a great way to see if clay feels right in your hands.
