Fall classes
Below you can find the fall classes. The Winter classes (starting January 2027) will be posted November 1st— join the mailing list to stay up-to-date, and be the first to sign up. Subscribers to the mailing list also receive coupons for classes.
If you have never done wheel-throwing before, I suggest you do some research: take a 2-hour intro class or a 4-week class before diving in to a full 6 week session. Pottery is VERY physically involved, it requires strength, and the ability to sit on a stool hunched over for an hour or two. You can find more information about each class on the their respective pages (clicking the class will take you there). If you have signed up for a class, you will receive an email with more information regarding parking, what to wear, studio guidelines, a syllabus the week before your class starts.

6 Week Beginner Wednesday October 14-November 18th 6:30-8:30
New to pottery? Try your hand at wheel-throwing with our 6-week class! Monika will take you through the fundamentals of form and function while throwing on the wheel, trimming, some hand-building, and glazing; a perfect first step in your pottery journey.
Please note the class price includes 10.55% sales tax*
Meets 1x per week for 6 weeks on Wednesday 6:30-8:30pm
Includes clay for each class
A demo each week covering mugs, bowls, trimming, and glazing
Hands-on teaching & intimate class size
Studio access outside of class time
refund policy:
We can offer you a 100% refund up to 14 days before the class start date. After that time we can offer a 50% refund until the second week of class. After the second week of class we will not be able to offer any refunds.

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate makeup classes.
8 Week Beginner Wheel Tuesday October 27th-December 15th 6:30pm-9:00pm
This class is for potters who have a little experience under their belts and want to learn more about the process behind firing, clay bodies, and glazing. You will leave with a deeper understanding of form and function, while honing your skills on the wheel.
Please note the class price includes WA state and Seattle 10.55% sales tax*
Meets 1x per week for 8 weeks on Tuesdays 6:30-9:00pm
Includes 25lb of personal clay
Demo each week covering lidded containers, teapots, larger vessels, glazing, and more!
Hands-on teaching & intimate class size
Studio access outside of class time

Meet Your Teacher!
Co-owner/sole teacher, Monika, started her ceramic arts journey at Iowa State University in 2017. Her approach to pottery focuses on body positioning and sustainable use of materials. She studied under Ingrid Lilligren, who has been doing ceramics for over 60 years and is still a professor at Iowa State University.
Monika brings the knowledge, practical skills, and philosophy she learned in Ingrid’s studio. This, in combination with the lessons she’s learned while teaching at various studios in Fremont, Seattle since 2022 makes her an excellent teacher for all learning styles (small class sizes don’t hurt, either)
